3 miles to Fooses Creek (4.4 miles out & back) - ski
novice/intermediate & shoe novice, avalanche danger - minimal except
near tree line;
walking distance to Middle Fork Creek (5.2 miles out & back to
the Lost Wonder Hut) - ski advance & shoe intermediate, avalanche danger
- minimal base of Mt. Aetna;
2.9 miles to Waterdog Lakes (3 miles out & back, steep!) ski
advance & shoe intermediate, avalanche danger - minimal but much higher
